The 18-piece Columbia Jazz Orchestra has brought classic and contemporary Big Band Jazz to the Columbia, MO area since our founding in 2014. We are a group of people with varied backgrounds and day jobs, but are united in our love of the music and desire to share it with you, our audience.

We rehearse on Monday nights and perform the last Monday of every month at Broadway Brewery from 7:30-9:30pm.

COJO frequently collaborates with the MU School of Music playing student arrangements as well as with the MU Director of Jazz Studies, Dr. Sam Griffith who often composes for the band. Other collaborations include working with the “We Always Swing” Jazz Series and other guest artists whenever possible.
